Describe your idea on the generator
Type what the business does and the feel you want, up to 200 characters, on the Describe an idea tab of the generator. Try “uber for dogs” or “AI bookkeeping for dentists, short and brandable”. Here’s what happens next:
- A model on Cloudflare Workers AI splits your idea into its parts (the dogs and the rides) and lists words for each part. That’s its whole job.
- We drop brands, adult words and any word that’s in no .com name, then rank the rest by Google searches and cost per click.
- Our generator joins words from two parts and checks every name against every registered .com name.
- You get the best names in the usual tiles, with Save and Verify. We ask the registry about the top 5 straight away.
The model never sees a domain name and never writes one. Every name comes from our generator and our list. Under the names, How we built these shows the word groups with their search numbers, and Edit in the generator puts them in the keyword form so you can tune them yourself.
Domaintile in your AI assistant
Make your key on your account page (a free account works), then add your address as a connector. It’s the Domaintile address with your key at the end, and every tool only reads.
https://domaintile.com/mcp/YOUR_KEY
Your key counts tool calls against your plan: 600 a month free, 1,500 on Lite and 20,000 on Pro. Without a key, an assistant can connect and see the tools, but it can’t use them.
Claude
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Domaintile, paste
https://domaintile.com/mcp/YOUR_KEYand add it. There’s nothing to sign in to. - Turn it on in a chat and ask away. The free plan takes one custom connector; paid plans take more.
ChatGPT
- On chatgpt.com, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. It’s on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education accounts.
- Open Plugins, press + and paste
https://domaintile.com/mcp/YOUR_KEY. Choose no authentication: the key is in the address. - Pick Domaintile in a chat and ask away.
Other assistants
Any assistant or editor that takes a remote MCP server address (Streamable HTTP) works the same way: Mistral Le Chat, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot Studio, VS Code and Cursor among them.
Tools that take a header, like Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code, can use https://domaintile.com/mcp with the header Authorization: Bearer and your key instead. Your account page shows the Claude Code command.
The tools
- Keyword stats
keyword_stats - How many names use a word, new and dropped names over 7, 30 and 90 days, its busiest day, the words it’s paired with and its Google search demand.
- Trending keywords
trending_keywords - The words people register most or fastest, for the latest day or up to 90 days, up to 25 at a time.
- Find open names
generate_open_names - Mixes 1 to 5 keywords with short words and returns up to 50 names that are open today.
- Check names
check_names - Whether up to 20 names you give it are taken, and a live registry check of the first 5 open ones.
- Count names containing letters
count_names_containing - How many names contain any letters, start with them or end with them, inside other words too, with the new ones in the last 30 days. Counts only.
- Keyword spikes
spikes - The words that grew fast on a day, up to 25 at a time, each with one buyer or many behind it, and its stage.
- A keyword’s spikes
keyword_spikes - The days a word spiked over the last 90 days at most, how big each spike was and who was behind it.
- Compare two keywords
compare_keywords - Two words side by side: names, rank, and new and net names over 7 and 30 days.
- Monthly report
monthly_report - A month’s new, dropped and net names, and its most added, trending and slowing words.
- Niche trend
niche_trend - Whether a topic such as AI or pets is trending, steady or slowing, with its trending words and spikes; or every niche at once.
- Top words
top_words - The words in the most names, page by page, with new names this week and each word’s stage.
- Check keywords in bulk
bulk_check - Up to 50 keywords at once: names, new names over 7 and 30 days, momentum, stage, and where the word alone is open.
- Pull names out of text
parse_names - Every domain name in up to 20,000 characters of text (100 names at most), each split into words.
Every answer ends with a link to the page it came from on domaintile.com, so you can check the numbers and quote them.
Prompts to try
- “How many .com names use the word agent?”
- “Which words are trending fastest in new .com registrations this week?”
- “Find open .com names for a heron-themed AI startup.”
- “Is catfood.net taken? Check with the registry.”
- “Compare crypto in .com and .xyz.”
- “How many .com names end in ify?”
- “Which words grew fast in new .com names yesterday, and who bought them?”
- “Is the AI niche still trending this month?”
What it won’t do
- List registered names. The registries’ data licence allows counts and statistics only, so “every .com registered yesterday” gets numbers, not names.
- Put a price on a name. We show the evidence, not a guess.
- Buy or register names. Open means nobody is using the name today: most open names are free, a few are owned but switched off. Verify it, then buy it at any registrar.
Limits
- The idea box: briefs of up to 200 characters, 5 new briefs a minute and 20 name searches a minute per visitor, and 2 briefs a day without an account and 60 a month with a free one (plans raise it). A brief someone asked in the last 7 days answers without a new model call. When the model is busy, we build the names from the words of your brief.
- Assistants: 60 requests a minute per assistant user (or per address when the assistant sends no user ID) (per account with a key), tool calls only with a key: 600 a month free, 1,500 on Lite and 20,000 on Pro, up to 20 names per check, 5 registry checks per call, 50 open names and 25 words per answer.
- Fair use applies to both, as in our terms: no scraping and no bulk extraction.
Where your data goes
- Your brief goes to Cloudflare Workers AI, which turns it into words. Cloudflare already serves this site and doesn’t train models on it. We don’t log or store the brief. The word plan is kept for up to 7 days in Cloudflare’s cache, filed under a one-way fingerprint of the brief, so the same brief costs no new model call.
- No domain name goes to the model, not yours and not ours.
- Assistants send us only what a tool needs: a word, your keywords, the letters to count, the names to check or a text to pull names from (read once, never kept: only the names go on to our data service). We never see your chat. The tools return counts, open names and the status of the names you asked about, never a list of registered names.
- Counts only. A brief counts as one use with the plan’s main word, never the brief. Name searches count like searches on the site. Nothing identifies you. The details are on the privacy page.
