Terms of use

Free to read, plans for heavy use, and a few fair rules.

These terms cover the site, the AI features, the assistant connector and the free emails. Last updated 9 October 2026.

Using Domaintile

Domaintile is free to read, and the tools have a free allowance. By using the site, the AI features, the connector at domaintile.com/mcp through an AI assistant, or the free emails, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them. You need no account to read or to use the free allowance, and you must be old enough to agree to terms like these where you live.

What the data is

No warranty

We work hard to keep the numbers right and the site up, but we give the service “as is”, with no promise that it’s complete, correct, current or always available, or that it suits any purpose. Decisions you make with it, such as which names to buy, sell or drop, are yours.

Names you choose

Checking that a name is free to use is your job. Before you register or use a name, check trademarks and other rights in the places you’ll use it. Our generator and the AI features leave out many brand names, but that’s no legal clearance, and a name being open doesn’t make it safe to use.

AI features

The idea box on the generator uses a model to suggest words for your brief; our own generator builds and checks the names. Word ideas can be odd or off the mark. Don’t put anything in a brief that you want to keep private, such as personal or confidential details. How briefs are handled is on the AI page and in the privacy policy.

Fair use

Use Domaintile as a person or through an assistant on your behalf, within the limits we set. Please don’t:

We set rate limits per visitor, per assistant user and per address, and may change them. We may block traffic that breaks these rules, without notice. Want more data than the pages show? Ask us.

Accounts and plans

The tools have caps. Without an account, a visitor gets, for example, 3 domain breakdowns a day, counted by internet address, starting again at midnight UTC; a free account gets 210 a month, starting again on the 1st of the month (UTC). Lite ($19 a month) and Pro ($49 a month) raise the caps; the pricing page lists every cap. Keep your account to yourself: one account is for one person.

Cancelling

In your first 14 days. You can cancel within 14 days of buying a plan, for any reason. Your plan starts as soon as you pay, because you ask us to start it then, so you pay only for the days you used: we refund the rest. For example, cancel on day 4 of a 30-day month and we refund 26 days. To cancel this way, email hello@domaintile.com from your account’s address, or send us the form below, or tell us in any other clear way before the 14 days end. We end the plan and refund to the card you paid with within 14 days of hearing from you. Cancelling in Manage subscription alone stops the next payment but refunds nothing, so in your first 14 days, tell us too.

After 14 days. Cancel any time from your account page (Manage subscription). Nothing more is charged; the plan works to the end of the month you paid for, then you’re back on the free caps.

Model cancellation form. You don’t have to use it. Copy it into an email or a letter:

The assistant connector

The connector at domaintile.com/mcp gives AI assistants the same data as the site, under these same terms and limits. It’s read-only. Tool calls need a key from your account page (a free account works) and count against your plan’s tool calls for the month; without a key, an assistant can connect and see the tools, but it can’t use them. The assistant decides how to show our answers; check numbers against the link each answer gives. We may change, limit or stop the connector at any time; if that takes away a paid feature, the refund rule in Accounts and plans applies.

Quoting our numbers

You’re welcome to quote any number with a link to the page it’s on. The press page shows how. The Domaintile name and logo are ours; use them only to name us as the source.

Emails

Daily Movers and The Domaintile Weekly are free. You get them only after you confirm, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works at once. We may change or stop an email; we’ll say so in it first where we can.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss from using Domaintile or from relying on it, including lost profits, a name you bought or missed, or data that was wrong or late. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t let us limit, and your rights as a consumer stay as they are.

Changes

We may change the service and these terms. The date at the top shows the last change; if you keep using Domaintile after a change, the new terms apply. We may stop any part of the service at any time. On a paid plan, a change that raises your price or gives your plan less comes with at least 30 days’ notice by email, and stopping a paid feature comes with a refund of the unused part of the month (Accounts and plans, above).

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
